Procedures for depositing the guarantee of goods in transit through the ACTS . System

Step 1: Before registering the customs transit declaration, the customs declarant can choose the form of guarantee, which is to deposit money with the customs authority to ensure the payment of customs taxes that may arise. submit a customs transit declaration and submit payment slip to the customs authority for updating through the ACTS System.

Step 2: The customs authority where the customs transit declaration is registered checks, monitors, and processes the deposit as follows:

a) In case the customs declarant deposits the full amount as prescribed for a customs transit declaration, the customs authority where the customs transit declaration is registered updates the data through the ACTS System. The system automatically issues GRN numbers for customs declarants to declare on transit declarations;

b) In case the deposit amount for a customs transit declaration is smaller than prescribed, the customs authority where the customs transit declaration is registered shall request the customs declarant to submit an additional payment.
