The market continues to be favorable

Commenting on the rice export market in the coming time, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Nam - Chairman of the Vietnam Food Association predicted that in the last months of the year, food prices will continue to fluctuate due to climate change. , armed conflicts... cause countries to increase food reserves.

According to Mr. Nam, currently the demand for rice imports in Vietnam's traditional markets such as the Philippines, China, Indonesia and African countries is increasing. In European countries, due to the political conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the need for food reserves has increased, this is a factor that will help rice export businesses benefit in the near future.

While the demand for rice imports increases, rice supply from the world's leading rice exporting countries such as India and Pakistan continues to be limited; Thai rice prices increased due to the increase in value of the Baht. Vietnam has the advantage of early supply from the Winter-Spring crop, stable rice output and quality, so it is forecast that in the short term, Vietnamese rice prices will still be at a good level.

“In general, in this year's rice export market, supply is lower than demand, so output is favorable. The problem of the rice industry this year is production and production linkage to have suitable types of rice. with market demand". Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Nam emphasized.
