In order to serve the needs of air transport during the holiday of April 30 - May 1 and the peak summer of 2023, on the afternoon of April 6, the Vietnam Aviation Administration held a meeting on increasing slots at international airports ( International Airport) Tan Son Nhat with the participation of airlines, businesses providing aviation services and flight operations services.
Based on the assessment of air transport needs and service capacity of units, while meeting the travel needs of people, the Vietnam Aviation Administration has decided to increase the slot coordination parameters at the International Airport. Tan Son Nhat on holiday April 30 - May 1, 2023 and peak summer 2023.
Accordingly, from April 28 to May 3 and peak Summer 2023 (from June 1 to August 15, 2023), an additional 26 slots/day will be added. With this slot increase, airlines will provide about 4,500-5,000 additional seats/day, meeting passenger demand during peak periods.
The Vietnam Aviation Administration also requires airlines to operate flights on time, limiting delays; Service providers need to develop plans to serve flights during peak periods.
