Thanks to that, many Vietnamese products have a superior competitive advantage in the UK market compared to similar products originating from countries that do not have FTAs with the UK such as China, India, Pakistan, Thailand, Malaysia. , Indonesia and South American countries.

For example, durian fruits imported from countries without tax incentives are subject to a tax rate of 8% while Vietnamese durians enjoy a preferential tax rate of 0% according to UKVFTA.

According to the Vietnam Trade Office in the UK, the shipment of Vietnamese durian Ri6 (5 tons) officially imported by TT Meridian Ltd (UK) was cleared from customs on May 4, 2023 and distributed to the following countries: supermarket in the UK.
