Ông Duy cho biết, ban đầu ông nhập 100 cây với giá hơn 400.000 đồng/cây, sau vài tháng trồng chưa có nhiều kinh nghiệm nên cây chết hàng loạt. Không nản chí, ông tiếp tục nhập thêm 500 cây, trong đó, có 360 cây nho mẫu đơn, còn lại là nho hạ đen, hồng ngọc, nho xanh Ninh Thuận. Hiện tất cả đều đang cho quả.
Mr. Duy said that initially he imported 100 trees at a price of more than 400,000 VND/tree. After a few months of planting, he did not have much experience, so the trees died en masse. Not discouraged, he continued to import 500 more plants, of which 360 were peony grapes, the rest were black summer grapes, ruby grapes, and Ninh Thuan green grapes. All are developing well now.

“Giống nho mẫu đơn có tính kháng bệnh cao, nhưng phải am hiểu đặc tính và kỹ thuật xử lý cây ra quả. Nếu cây được trồng ở Hàn Quốc thì nho có ưu và nhược điểm khi xử lý quả dễ bởi có mùa đông, cây dồn dinh dưỡng về gốc, trên ngọn lá trụi hết và cho ra hoa dễ hơn. Còn ở miền Tây, chỉ có 2 mùa nắng, mưa nên phải can thiệp xử lý ra hoa. Nhưng có thể làm được 2 mùa quả, thay vì 1 mùa quả như ở Hàn Quốc”, ông Duy nói.

Theo ông Duy, khi cây ra hoa, phải xử lý mất hạt, cụ thể là nhúng hoa vừa nở hết vào chế phẩm sinh học. Sau khoảng 1 tuần, dùng chế phẩm sinh học cho đậu trái và ngừa thối quả.
According to Mr. Duy, when the tree blooms, the lost seeds must be treated, specifically by dipping the flowers that have just bloomed into biological products. After about 1 week, use biological products to set fruit and prevent fruit rot.
Đến thời điểm hiện tại, những gốc nho mẫu đơn được 15 tháng tuổi và đang cho đợt trái đầu tiên, sản lượng nho tại vườn khoảng hơn 2 tấn. Trung bình, mỗi chùm nho mẫu đơn có trọng lượng từ 500 - 700gr, giá bán 400.000 đồng/kg.
