The Ministry of Information and Communications issues the "Purple Phoenix" stamp set

(Mic.gov.vn) – In order to contribute to promoting the image of the country, people and climate and biological diversity of Vietnam, on March 30, 2023, the Ministry of Information and Communications and Vietnam Post Corporation issued a set of stamps. “Purple Phoenix” includes 01 stamp sample and 01 block with face price of 4,000 VND and 15,000 VND, with stamp size 54 x 37 (mm) and block size 105 x 80 (mm), available on the postal network from January 30. March 2023 to December 31, 2024.

The stamp set was designed by artist Nguyen Quang Vinh. By using tempera watercolor, the artist has depicted the structure of the purple poinciana flower as sharp and fresh, making this material more attractive and attractive because Ancient and modern shades interwoven.

The scientific name of purple phoenix is Jacaranda mimosifolia D. Don, originating from the Americas, grows and develops in cool climates and suitable soil. In Vietnam, purple phoenix is most grown in Da Lat. It is a plant belonging to the chili pepper family, with a woody stem, about 10m to 15m tall when mature, with wide spreading foliage and compound leaves. Purple poinciana flowers bloom in clusters, soft petals are bell-shaped, and the blooming season lasts from 3 to 4 months.

Every spring, Da Lat puts on its gentle purple phoenix color, shimmering in the sunlight, lyrical and poetic. That's why everyone wants to once see this flower with their own eyes, step on the road filled with purple flowers and immerse themselves in passionate emotions in the golden sunshine of the Central Highlands, these will be moments. unforgettable about a purple flower.
