However, according to the agricultural sector of Ben Tre province, the development of high-tech shrimp farming areas is currently facing many difficulties due to many reasons. In particular, the reason is that irrigation infrastructure in many places is not complete, water supply and drainage canal systems are not guaranteed, causing difficulties for production activities and disease control.
Besides, people are still afraid to boldly invest in the two-phase shrimp farming model, because this is a high-tech shrimp farming model, with a large initial investment cost, but has not received much attention from the shrimp farmers. bank. While there is capital in the people, very few people are qualified to invest.
Mr. Buoi added that according to the roadmap, the province's agricultural sector will develop high-tech shrimp farming area by 2025 to 4,000 hectares with an output of 144,000 tons, by 2030 about 5,800 hectares with an output of 208,800 tons.
