Procedures for certifying the origin declaration of imported cars and motorcycles

The importer must declare the Declaration of Origin in accordance with the pre-printed criteria on the Declaration of Origin. The basis for the importer to declare on the declaration of origin is the Imported Car Quality Certificate (for used cars) or Inspection Exemption Notice (for new cars) from the Housing Inspection Agency. level of quality of imported and exported goods (Vietnam Register Department).

In case the CKD1 imported car parts set does not have an outer paint color when imported, the importer must clearly write "CKD1 type" in the "paint color" line on the Declaration of Origin.

* For customs authorities:

The Customs authority compares the content declared by the importer on the declaration of origin with the inspection and confirmation results of the inspector and all related documents to confirm the Declaration of Origin.

- Customs declaration;

– Receipt of import tax and other taxes;

– Import license issued by the Customs Department of provinces and cities (if any);

– A detailed list of chassis numbers and engine numbers, confirmed by the Customs where procedures are carried out (for the entire shipment);

2. For cars and motorbikes with imported components:

- Customs declaration;

– Receipt of import tax and other taxes;

– Declaration of origin certified by Customs;
