(HQ Online) - By the end of April 2024, there were 4 groups of goods exported to the Chinese market with a turnover of 1 billion USD or more.
According to the latest preliminary statistics of the General Department of Customs, by the end of April, export of Vietnam to the Chinese market reached 17.7 billion USD, an increase of 10.9% compared to the same period last year (equivalent to an increase in turnover of 1.74 billion USD).
With the above results, China continues to be Vietnam's second largest export market (after the US market).
Notably, by the end of April, there were 5 groups of our country's exports to this neighboring country with a turnover of 1 billion USD or more, an increase of 3 groups compared to the same period in 2023.
3 product groups are cameras, camcorders and components reaching 1.88 billion USD (up 102.8%); fruits and vegetables reached 1.16 billion USD (up 44.6%); machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts reached more than 1 billion USD (an increase of 7%).
The remaining 2 billion dollar groups are computers, electronic products and components reaching 3.98 billion USD (up 23.5%); phones and components reached 3.47 billion USD (down 14%).
Thus, among the main export product groups, phones and components are the only product groups with a decrease in turnover compared to the same period last year. This also causes phones and components to lose their position as Vietnam's largest export product group to China in the group of computers, electronic products and components.
