Because on average, each ton of green coffee currently costs only approximately 50 million VND/ton.
According to Mr. Pham Thanh Hien - General Director of PT Nhat Anh Coffee Production Company, if Robusta coffee in Dak Lak knows how to process it, the quality of coffee beans in Dak Lak will still be very high and valuable.
The company's purchase of Robusta coffee beans in Dak Lak at an all-time record price is because this batch is cleanly processed, environmentally friendly and very good for users' health.
Furthermore, the company's purchase of this batch of green coffee beans at a high price is an acknowledgment and a way to gradually bring Vietnamese coffee beans to new heights.
The fact that the company is spending so much is also a message that the company wants to send to farmers to produce clean coffee, ensuring strict quality criteria and requirements from the market.
When coffee prices are high, farmers will certainly improve their income and, more importantly, preserve and promote traditional occupations on the plateau.
According to Mr. Hien, the batch of coffee he bought is not unique, there are many quality coffee production units in Dak Lak province.
Only businesses and manufacturers that process clean, high-quality coffee can enhance the value and brand of Dak Lak coffee beans in particular and the entire Central Highlands in general.
"After buying this shipment, I still hope that the further goal is that Vietnam will set its own coffee selling price and no longer depend on foreign trading floors" - Mr. Hien added.
According to Mr. Le Duc Huy - General Director of 2-9 Import-Export Company Limited, the Vietnam Specialty Coffee Contest has been held 5 times. Meanwhile, this is the first year of the specialty coffee auction.
The successful organization of these programs has created a Specialty Coffee market for Vietnam. In this playground, farmers will have the opportunity to show off their talents and prove the quality level of coffee beans during their diligent care and processing.

“The market value of Vietnamese specialty coffee beans is completely independent of the price of the commercial coffee market, which is often influenced by many macro factors and international financial and trade corporations.
