Cases where customs declaration is required upon entry in 2024<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

People entering the country must declare a Customs Declaration when entry<\/a> if you fall into the following cases:<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Have checked baggage before or after the trip.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. There are goods temporarily imported - re-exported or temporarily exported - re-imported.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Bring foreign currency worth more than 5,000 USD or other equivalent foreign currency or bring more than 15,000,000 Vietnamese Dong.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Bring bills of exchange, checks or precious metals (silver, platinum and alloys containing silver, platinum), precious stones (diamonds, rubies, sapphire, emeralds) worth from 300 million Vietnamese dong or more.<\/span><\/p>\n

5. Bring specific gold as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n

– Immigration people<\/a> with a passport to carry gold jewelry and fine arts with a total weight of 300 grams or more.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2013 People entering the country with a border pass, entry pass, border ID card wear gold jewelry and fine arts to serve jewelry needs such as rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, pins and other types of jewelry with a total weight of 300 grams or more.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2013 Foreigners are allowed to settle in Vietnam when entering the country to bring raw gold, gold bars, gold jewelry, and fine arts with a total weight of 300 grams or more.<\/span><\/p>\n

6. Having goods subject to tax: Bringing more than 1.5 liters of alcohol of 20 degrees or more or more than 2.0 liters of alcohol of less than 20 degrees or more than 3.0 liters of alcoholic beverages and beer; Carrying more than 200 cigarettes or more than 20 cigars or more than 250 grams of tobacco, other items with a total value of more than 10,000,000 VND.<\/span><\/p>\n

7. People entering the country need customs confirmation for foreign currency cash worth equal to or less than 5,000 USD or other equivalent foreign currency.<\/span><\/p>\n
